The most famous one is Tablao Flamenco Cordobes, located on La Rambla, it opened in the 1970’s. The cave-like architecture of this place give it a more intimate atmosphere, even if the tablao (stage) is surrounded by 180 people. No microphone or other devices needed to transport you into the magical universe of Flamenco.

Los Juanele, one of the most traditional tablao of the city. Located in the Eixample, this place looks like an authentic Andalusian tablao. Here, you can enjoy classic tapas with a rebujito while you enjoy the show or even participate… Classes are given on Thursdays.

Los Tarantos is an iconic tablao located on Plaça Reial, in the heart of the city. Nowadays owned by the group Mas i Mas, which also owned Moog nightclub or Jamboree jazz club, it has been renovated. Therefore, it has a modern touch, while keeping an authentic spanish touch.

Tablao de Carmen is located in the Poble Espanyol, this part of the city where different typical Spanish villages have been recreated. The tablao was named after Carmen Amaya, one of the most famous flamenco dancers. Here, you can enjoy different formulas, from the local tapas menu to a gastronomic menu. But don’t worry, the show remains as exceptional.

Bar Leo, located in Barceloneta, is a typical Spanish bar, the one that corresponds to your imagination. Here, no fancy furniture, decoration whatsoever, but a nice couple of managers and Spanish music. Some performances are planned, some others just start with a person playing guitar. Everything here is made for a good time!

23 Robadors is probably the most typical of this selection. Located in El Raval, in a street which the name means “thief”, you could walk pass its door without noticing. This music bar welcomes flamenco shows mostly during weekends. Even if it can seems small, the atmosphere is very relaxed and brings you closer to the roots of this dance.

Palacio del Flamenco looks more like a theatre than the other venues. The intimate atmosphere may be gone, but the show is here. Starting in 1920’s, you will find here a stage surrounded by three floors of seating: 380 people can seat here, which makes of this place, the largest Flamenco venue.
